Number Reaction Test

Number Reaction Test measures how quickly you can locate and click a specific number in a grid. It benchmarks visual scanning speed and choice reaction time.

Click the target number as fast as you can

How It Works

  1. Click Start to begin.
  2. A target number appears at the top.
  3. Find and click the matching number in the grid.
  4. Wrong clicks add to misses (timer continues).
  5. Complete 10 rounds; your score is the average time.

Tip: Focus on scanning patterns and keep your eyes near the center of the grid.

These are real attempts in a browser — every device, every connection, first tries included. Published research figures are usually collected on dedicated hardware with practiced participants under controlled conditions, so they typically run faster than what this table shows. Both are useful, and they answer different questions: a score can sit well behind the research figure and still be mid-pack among people actually taking the test here.
