Entertainment & Education Only
All tests, scores, tier labels, percentiles, and benchmarks on MindBenchmark are provided for entertainment and self-interest educational purposes only. Results are approximations generated by a web browser and are not validated measurements of intelligence, cognitive ability, medical status, or psychological state.
Not Medical or Clinical Advice
The Service is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, disorder, or condition. No information on the Service should be interpreted as medical, psychological, neurological, ophthalmological, or professional advice.
If you are concerned about your cognition, memory, focus, reaction time, vision, or any aspect of your health, consult a licensed medical or mental-health professional. Do not delay seeking professional advice because of something you saw, read, or scored on MindBenchmark.
Color Blind Test — Not a Clinical Screening
Our Color Blind Test uses Ishihara-style plates rendered in a web browser. It is not a clinical color-vision screening. Browser-based color rendering varies by display, calibration, operating system, lighting, and viewing angle. A result on this test cannot confirm or rule out any form of color-vision deficiency. If you have concerns about your color vision, consult a qualified optometrist or ophthalmologist who can administer a calibrated, clinically validated test.
Peripheral Vision Test — Not an Eye Exam
Our Peripheral Vision Test measures your reaction to visual targets placed at estimated peripheral angles on a web browser. It is not a visual-field test, is not calibrated to your specific display or head position, and cannot detect glaucoma, retinal disease, neurological visual-field defects, or any other condition. Concerns about peripheral vision should be evaluated in a clinical setting.
Focus Tests — Not Attention-Disorder Screening
Tests in the Focus category (Stroop, Attention Span, Task Switching) are modeled on classic psychological paradigms but are not administered, scored, or normed as clinical instruments. They cannot diagnose or rule out ADHD, anxiety disorders, or any other condition. Do not use your score to self-diagnose or to make decisions about medication, work, or study.
Accuracy Limits of Browser-Based Testing
Results on MindBenchmark are influenced by factors outside our control, including:
- Device type (desktop, laptop, tablet, phone);
- Input method (mouse, trackpad, touchscreen, keyboard);
- Display refresh rate and input latency;
- Browser version, extensions, and background CPU load;
- Network conditions and server response times;
- Ambient lighting, posture, and user attention state.
Mobile and touchscreen interactions add approximately 50–100 ms of input latency relative to a wired mouse or keyboard. Cross-device comparison of reaction times is not reliable.
Tier Labels & Percentiles Are Estimates
Tier labels (“Elite,” “Fast,” “Average,” “Below Average”) are descriptive shorthand against fixed thresholds; they are not clinical diagnoses or percentile rankings within any defined clinical population. Percentile figures, where shown, are estimates derived from published research datasets and/or aggregated Service data. Every percentile display includes an “Estimated” label and a tooltip explaining its basis. Percentiles should be interpreted as rough positioning, not as validated norms.
No Guarantees of Improvement
Practicing tests on MindBenchmark will not necessarily improve real-world cognitive function, athletic performance, academic performance, or driving ability. Any apparent improvement may reflect learning of the specific test format rather than generalized change. Claims about “brain training” in general are scientifically contested.
